LABOR built this country. UNIONS built this country. PAYING our working force enough to spend and acquire credit built this country. You dont know shit about economics. No a thing. Taxing the shit out of the rich built this country.
This is just total pablum.
Labor is a component of free market capitalism. It is individuals making voluntary transactions of their time, skills, talents and energy (labor) in exchange for monetary remuneration. (wages) It all functions on supply and demand. When you have either one of the two sides colluding with an all-powerful government to 'move the dial' in their favor, that's not free market capitalism anymore.
Many years before our country existed, people like
John Locke were instrumental in laying philosophical foundations on which our framers forged our nation. Among these ideas was the concept of private property ownership, property being the result of individual labor. It is through this philosophy the idea of free enterprise and free market capitalism was born. THAT is what made America great.
You have to remember, up until our framers gave us the U.S. Constitution, no one had ever tried this concept of private property ownership and individual liberty through self-governing. It was a radical new concept and very LIBERAL for the times. And as it turns out, it was wildly successful. We went from being a fledgling upstart nation, battered and torn by a brutal war of independence where we, the underdogs, defeated the most powerful military on the planet at the time-- to the most powerful nation the world has ever known. We did most of it in less than a century.
The amount people are paid for their labor is a value of their property. Now, I don't know what your property is worth. You may be very talented at something very few people can do... you may have no talent at all and can only do things that many people can do. Every person is their own individual. The most fair and equitable system is one in which the market can determine value based on supply and demand. This way, you are not paid more or less than you are worth, you're paid what the market values your property.
