So who had the worse VP pick, Trump or Harris?

Worst pick?

  • Trump

    Votes: 12 37.5%
  • Harris

    Votes: 20 62.5%

  • Total voters

I think it would have been better to go after a swing state on the electoral map. Shapiro or Kelly would have been my choice if it was up to me.

So I don’t think Walz was the best pick, but I think I see what they’re going for with him, and it’s not bad. Walz is going to be used to target the mid-west, which is going to help with both Michigan and Wisconsin.

He’s not a bad pick in my opinion. Seems like a very safe pick, but not a very exciting one. Right-wing media is going to try to attack him but I don’t see anything there that’s going to move the needle.

Vance was just a bad pick. Trump went for the Trumpiest ass-kisser because he figured he was going to beat Biden with whoever he selected, and he would have been right about that.

It was very smart for Democrats to put Kamala in AFTER Trump selected Vance.
Automatically will lose Wisconsin. Badgers hate the Gophers.

Speaking as a leftist; Kamala clearly nailed this one, Walz is the best thing since white bread, and he even looks like white bread. I only wish he was a woman, but there's nothing to say he won't be someday.

I feel like both sides were more interested in consolidating their existing bases of support than reaching out to the political center.

Trump's VP pick said he could be "America's Hitler" and called him a 'moral disaster.'

That is a pretty dumb person to pick IMHO.

It's a matter of policy rather than appearance. Walz is about the grooming of children into life changing gender operations what they are unable to understand. He is for open borders and all the unrest that goes along with it. His record in protecting his constituents from social unrest and arsonist attacks is dismal and he admits it. Vance is about law enforcement and protection of children from pedophile groomers who would ruin their lives. Pick your choice.

Not really. He just protected those who seek transgender treatment.

"No one who is lawfully providing, assisting, seeking or obtaining such services should be subject to legal liability or professional sanctions".

Sounds like the sort of smaller government the Republicans CLAIM they're after. People can make their own choices in life.

Indeed.

Picking Tim Walz was Kamala Harris’s first campaign mistake

When I heard that Vice President Harris had selected Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz over Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro as her running mate, the first thought to hit me was that of revered baseball manager Casey Stengel: “Can’t anybody here play this game?”

That’s not to say Walz is the worst choice in the world. But Shapiro is the governor of Pennsylvania — probably the most important state for Harris electorally, where he has a 64 percent approval rating. That fact alone might have been dispositive.

I've made no bones about my disappointment in Trump's choice.
However, I believe picking No-Balz-Walz, was an even dumber pick, since he gives Trump and the GOP and endless assortment of topics they can attack.
I watched JD campaign in Philadelphia. I thought he did superb. Don't let the left manipulate you into thinking Vance was a bad choice, although I would have assumed Harris would be the nominee and picked a woman or a black to counter. I do think Trump made a mistake in that regard.

I’m not going to go back and do that research feel free if you care that much. That’s the traditional wisdom though. At a minimum the VP pick is supposed to bring something to the ticket that the candidate doesn’t. Biden brought experience and being a white guy. Pence evangelicals and the steady hand, Harris historic first. I don’t know what Vance or Walz brings to the ticket for either candidate.

Have you listened to Walz speak? He's Bernie Sanders lite, but likeable, and Bernie was insanely popular. Walz is a populist that runs on populist policies and for once, we have a candidate who can actually speak well. The question isn't what Walz brings to the ticket but whether he'll outshine Kamala. The only reason why you're saying he brings nothing to the ticket is because you're projecting your own misgivings about JD Vance :auiqs.jpg:

No he doesn't. And Trump is a felon. He really can't say anything.

Walz was a great choice. I reay had not heard him that much before, even as I knew of him. But the more I hear him, the more I like him.
