Emily, nice sentiment, with which I agree. That being said, Richmond is still a pig, he should apologize, and his fellow Democrats should demand he do so. Instead of cleaning up their image Richmond is only soiling it further. The media, as well, needs to end their partisanship and return to journalistic integrity. They are only serving to further divide the country with what they are doing.

I like what Conway did with Trump's campaign, though I dislike the
gameplaying in the media that is both sides baiting each other back and forth.
I'm willing to work with her and whoever on the Democrat side is sick of
abusing sexualization and rape charges in the media for political ammo without doing
anything to stop these problems in reawl life and help the real victims of them see any justice.

I respect her but not the bullying games that continue to obstruct collaboration
when we need to get serious about that.

I surely hope the women in these campaigns and camps
can rise up and unite and put down any further exploitation, bullying and baiting.
Nobody benefits from that, we all lose valuable time energy and relationships
which we sorely need to rebuild not tear down any further.

I appreciate your input. I want to say that I DO use this forum as an outlet to anonymously pester & harass those on the political left, especially the "radical fringests" (who seem to frequent this place in abundance...)

When a left leaning poster makes a reasonable argument or demonstrates civility, I typically reply in kind.

Also - I don't consider you a "leftist" (certainly not based on your reply in this thread)

Anywho - my point...

God places the powerful & the leaders in their position, so that would have been true with Obama & is true now with Trump.

Trump certainly has a "spotty" past, at least if you are judging him "morally" or by standard Christian ethos. However, he has made serious efforts to reach out to people of faith & so far has demonstrated that he can be counted on the keep his word.

I pray for the country as well (despite the fact that I can be foul mouthed & demonstrate a snarky irreverence here).

I personally believe that Trump is God's blessing to this nation at this moment in time. I also believe that our nation is too far gone to be brought back & that we are very close to being turned over to our sins & desires.

Are the days we are living in like the days of Noah & Lott? I think we may well be there (and yes, I know that many have had these same feelings for hundreds & hundreds of years)
