If I were to describe myself in political terms, I would say that I would like to conserve liberal values.

The multiculturalist portion of the left is doing such a piss poor job of standing up for liberalism these days that it seems more of the so-called liberals are fighting against liberal values than for them.

I do not really like labels, they kind of demand that you adopt a slate of beliefs and values and adhere to them almost like a religious faith. Call me a political atheist, I take nothing on faith and I do not believe anything just because particular people say it. Humans are greedy and their power structures are inherently corrupt and dishonest and I do not trust power to act in any interests except it's own.
