Just stop lying to yoursef about American history.
You didn't answer my question.
Where was the handout?
I started driving a tractor trailer in 1998.
Plenty of black guys were also driving semis in 1998.
What special privileges did I have that they didn't have?
Is there anything that kept or keeps a black man from doing what I did?
I know the answer is no, cause they were doing it too.
The problem isn't Black vs White in the 21 century...in the 21 century there is a culture problem in the major metropolitans, and it affects and infects the youth regardless of skin color.
There were plenty of Black Officer and NCOs in the Army when I was enlisted...and 90% of them are now retired at my age and living the good life, or double dipping a second career.
They own homes and nice cars and take killer vacations...sent their kids to college, take care of their folks financially....
Because they made good decisions.
But it's so much easier to be a victim and have a perpetual external excuse to blame for not "getting what you deserve".
What you deserve is the same shot anyone else has...not one thing more.
And here's your comeback...
"But generational wealth???"
Plenty of immigrants have come over here with nothing but the clothes on their backs and have succeeded.
The Irish, the Italians the Chinese and most recently the Latinos and Southeast Asians.
How are they succeeding without generational wealth?
