A tweet and several public statements by Donald Trump claiming that Tommy DiMassimo, the man who attempted to climb on stage and attack him during a Dayton, Ohio rally on Saturday, has “ties to ISIS,” are apparently false.


To the second question, I say no. Attempting to shut down speech through violence or threats of violence is called terrorism. The Trump rally attacker is a terrorist whether in league with ISIS or not; that's inconsequential. It's time all these terrorists face charges by federal prosecutors and start serving some real time.

So who cares WHAT KIND of terrorist he is?

What violence or threat of violence? He was trying to grab the microphone.

And how far is claiming that the man had 'ties to ISIS' from claiming the man is an enemy combatant.....who we can hold indefinitely with no trial?
