Remember, Trump has a team of expert lawyers advising him on everything he does, what the law is, what their rights are, and what are OUR rights.

So I will sit back with interest and watch to see what plays out before I draw any conclusions. I think the big picture in all of this is that Trump is really after stopping China taking any further hold of the Caribbean right next to our borders.

Same with Greenland and Panama--- Trump is trying to stop Chinese influence from gaining any further dominance in our own back yard. Like a good leader, Trump is not just looking 6 months down the road but 25 years down the road.

The ordeal is really about China and Russia. If I cannot make a deal with you, I will tamper with your interest. Unfortunately, Maduro is the current whipping boy for the US just like when Saddam Hussein was the whipping boy for the US. Billions of dollars in contracts belonging to China and Russia were nullified after the invasion of Iraq.

Because this is how the US foreign policy works regardless who is president. Why do you think the US has hundreds of military bases and outposts around the world? I will say that it's hypocritical that the three biggest countries responsible for keeping people from fighting one another are the biggest arms dealers in the world and as permanent members of the UN security council.

Nevertheless ... "the President of peace" has no business messing with Venezuela at all. Am I a fan of Maduro? Probably not but I know that he doesn't pose a direct threat to the USA. But I'm not a fan of LOTs of world leaders. It wouldn't give me the right to antagonize them for my personal pleasure or benefit.
