So... Some Here Wonder Why No One Cares The Boomers Are Having Their Golden Coffins Repo'd. Well... Heres why:

Sucks to be you.
That would make a great 11th bullet point. The complete indifference for the disaster that the Boomers left for the youngest generation. And that indifference isn't lost on Gen Z.

Wait until home prices drop by 25%-ish. It's coming.. ;)
I know why, and it relates to the NGOs and USAID and HUD and all kinds of stuff.

Solutions?
Outside of dropping Federal Debt and spending?

This may not be the world I want but it's the one I have to live in.

Many people, myself included , are impatiently waiting for the long overdue real estate bubble to pop.

I should get a wad of cash together right now. Not doin' it. DGAF.
I dislike change.

Well, the stopping of Uncle Sugar propping up the housing market and everybody and their brothers
and sisters getting pieces of the pie (local governments and contractors) except for homeowners,
will be coming to a head soon. Local governments charge too much tax on rental properties is why rent is so high.
Same house.
Homestead: $1100/yr
Rent it out: $4200/yr or up to double that.
Government makes more than the owners for nothing, and owners have to do all the upkeep.
Long story short, the Fed has been subsidizing illegal housing at taxpayers' expense and local
governments have been cashing in on that shit for years while regular people get squeezed out by corporate home buying and renting to illegals. It all comes crashing down. I voted for this.

WTF do you think YOUR generation, whatever you call yourselves, is doing by adding 2 trillion to the debt every year to fund your dumb ass decisions in life? Do you think there will be a magic bag of money appear so your spawn can continue to be unaffected by the real world?

I’m leaving everything to the Flat Earth Society.

Okay, Boomer. :auiqs.jpg:
#1 Reason no ones cares if Boomers get taken down a notch?
They were who was in charge when all the shit started going south for future generations
and continued to go south; That's why.
:pout:
Actually, Boomer's parents were in charge...

You need to look at it from the individual’s actions. We did nothing wrong. (Also, many of your examples are not boomers - but the generation up. To respond, I’ll use my father as an example.)
  1. Housing Market Locked Us Out - Boomers bought homes for dirt—$20K in the ‘70s, a joke adjusted for inflation. They choked supply with zoning crap and watched prices explode to $400K for a dump. We’re stuck renting or couch-surfing.
Proof: Federal Reserve Economic Data - Home Prices

So this is my father’s fault? He came from a poor background, won free tuition to college, and was able to get a professional job and buy a house in 1970 for $37k. And you want to BLAME him for that?

  1. Debt Dumped on Our Backs - They got a debt-to-GDP ratio under 35% in the ‘60s, then ran it up past 120% by 2025 with tax cuts and pork. Boomers cash out; we’re stuck with the bill.
Proof: U.S. Treasury - Historical Debt Outstanding

My dad had nothing to do with that. He worked, put away a portion for retirement, and made sure our family lived within our means,
  1. College Costs Blew Up - Boomers paid peanuts—$500 a year—with summer gigs. They gutted funding, let schools turn into loan sharks, and now we’re $100K in the hole for a degree that don’t pay.
Proof: National Center for Education Statistics - Tuition Costs
OK….since Dad won free college, I’ll use myself as an example. Is it MY fault that my private college charged only $6,000 a year - half of which was covered by academic scholarships? I was responsible, studied hard, and picked a career-oriented major.
  1. Jobs Went From Gold to Garbage - They had factories and unions, then offshored ‘em in the ‘80s and ‘90s for cheap labor. Boomers got pensions; we’re stuck with gig apps—no benefits, no hope.
Proof: Bureau of Labor Statistics - Manufacturing Employment
Neither my parents nor their kids were ever members of a union. Why blame us for getting professional jobs?
  1. Social Security’s a Bust - They paid in chump change, took out fortunes, and left the fund on life support—projected to crater by 2035 without a fix. Boomers retire; we pay.
Proof: Social Security Administration - Trust Fund Data
Again, you can’t blame us. We have no control over this.
  1. Healthcare’s a Racket - Boomers got cheap docs and meds. They let HMOs and Pharma jack prices—now it’s $500 for a pill and $10K deductibles. They’ve got Medicare; we’re screwed.
Proof: KFF - Healthcare Costs Over Time
How are we at fault for this? Obamacare created a disaster.

  1. Wages Ain’t Moved - Productivity’s up 300% since the ‘70s, but wages? Stuck. Boomers skimmed the profits, CEOs cashed out, and we’re left with $7.25—half their buyin’ power.
Proof: Economic Policy Institute - Wage Stagnation
How did we “skim the profits”? Everyone in my family worked hard for a decent paycheck, but we didn’t skim off the top.
  1. Pensions Got Torched - They retired at 60 with cushy defined-benefit plans. Boomers swapped ‘em for 401(k)s, handed us the market crapshoot, and bailed. Work ‘til you die, kids. WHOOPS! Eat the market crash fuckin' parasites...
Proof: Pension Rights Center - Shift to 401(k)
Sorry, but the only boomers getting cushy pensions are government workers.
  1. Wall Street Got a Free Pass - They deregulated banks, crashed it all in ‘08, and got bailed out. Boomers kept their cushy nests; we lost jobs and homes. Greed paid—for them. And they don't care as long as they die in a golden coffin someone else has to pay for...
Proof: Federal Reserve - 2008 Financial Crisis
Again, nobody I k ow did all that. Nobody had a cushy nest. But PLENTY of boomers lost jobs in 1981 when UE was at 11%, and again around 2009, also at 11%. You are under the mistaken impression that boomers haven’t suffered financial set-backs due to no fault of their own.

  1. Rigged the Game, Kept the Prize - Boomers preached hard work, then tilted the table—tax breaks for the rich, corporate handouts. They’re set; we’re hustlin’ three jobs to eat. Ask any Zoomer who still has to live with their parents despite having a "good paying job"...
Proof: Tax Policy Center - Tax Breaks Over Time
No boomer I know did that. We all worked until retirement age, interspersed with some layoffs due to recessions, an were responsible with our money.

There ya go—ten nails in the coffin, each with a link to shove the truth up your ass. Boomers built their empire, then pulled the ladder up behind them. Argue that, I dare ya...
What you are doing is blaming an entire generation of Americans for things they had no control over. We simply were responsible, worked hard, lived within our means, put away for retirement (no pensions - all 401ks or 403bs - are are now enjoying the reward of living responsibly.

Let me guess: You’re a Democrat who blames other people for everything and thinks old people should just die already.

My dad had nothing to do with that. He worked, put away a portion for retirement, and made sure our family lived within our means
When your government can't live within it's means, how can you expect the people to? When they solve every problem with violence, what do the people do? If the government survives on lies and deception, can you expect the people to do any different?

I never figured you for a Flerfer kook. :dunno:
He isnt....ROFL....it's a joke.
Like me leaving my vast pittance to the homeless shelters in San Francisco...so they can get shoved up a....

Actually, Boomer's parents were in charge...
Wrong. It was Boomers.
The ones just before the Quaalude dudes.
Yeah, that was Boomers. It was.
Quaalude gen is a little older than me. and younger than Boomers.

Just because the government overspends and deceives doesn’t give me an excuse to. Sounds like you’re a Democrat, making excuses for people’s bad behavior.

The same still applies. I had nothing to do with anything the OP listed. He is taking some irresponsible things that some leaders did, and using it to smear an entire generation. That’s the same type of thing racists do.

I’m not going to apologize for buying a townhouse almost 30 years ago at $200,000 (after years of living in a tiny place so I could save for the down payment), and that it’s now close to $800k. I did the prudent, responsible thing.

Okay. Well, It will not be very soon.
If you want to speculate you can sell while it's still up.
If you want to make moves n stuff. The window for that is closing fast, and really, I'm not getting into it.
I know what needs done where I'm at. Not trying to get into having to assess a whole new set of problems at this point.
