So now Bondi is in hot water

An Attorney General isn't going to bring a case if the evidence doesn't confirm the charges. An AG can't just bring a case because a President has hurt feelings and told her to. An AG can't bring a case just because MAGA media is spraying out hyperpartisan conspiracy theories to take the heat off their leader. Trials are REAL THINGS, not reality teevee.

Trump Has Complained About Pam Bondi Repeatedly to Aides

I don't think our President understands how laws actually work. Literally. He clearly thinks the DOJ is his hammer, to be used when he's upset, to punish and intimidate anyone who tries to hold him accountable.

And Bondi? Just another one who willingly entered the Orange Orbit™ and ended up stained. These people simply will not learn.

Owing to the fact that much of our democracy is predicated on the good intentions of those in power. Therefore, malevolent actors like trump are able to exploit weaknesses in the defense of the republic.
Your Vegetable God throwing open the borders is an excellent example of that

Tariffs are probably responsible for 0.5% of the current inflation rate and in the next 1-2 years will add a total of about 2% to prices if they remain stable.

Trump says prices are going down. People believe him. They’re misinformed.

Trump said foreign countries pay tariffs. People beliefs him. They’re misinformed.

You’re the useful idiots that said economic data you didn’t like was “fake” and designed by the “deep state” to hurt Trump.

Inflation will decrease in the next few years.

Democrats believe that consumers are paying all the costs of tariffs. CPI numbers don't bear that out. Costs have been split between foreign manufacturers, foreign exporters, importers and the consumer. That means that a portion of the revenue generated by tariffs has been paid by foreign countries. Since tariffs are evidently a "tax", that means that foreign countries are sharing part of the burden of our tax revenue. With inflation numbers not rising, that is a win/win for the US. You are misinformed.

The SC ruling on tariffs could mess things up a bit. Even though the court's majority is Republican, they won't rule on purely partisan basis like the Democrats ALWAYS do, so not sure the outcome of this particular case. If they do overturn it and the economy takes a hit, they will blame that on Trump, when in reality, what he did regarding tariffs was beneficial for our economy.

To which economic data are you referring? Things are going well despite the partisan rhetoric coming from the mouths of economists, most of which are overgrown children in academia. People like you hang on every word they say despite their recent poor track record.

" You spamming for Jeff Bezos"?

:laughing0301:

Nice try .
So it's not the OTHER paywalled site, "The Washington Post". :rolleyes-41:
At least they let you read 1 article sometimes.

Inflation would most likely decrease no matter who was in office. It’s called regression to the mean. If it hadn’t been for Trump, inflation would be lower. That’s just reality.

Markets are already pricing in rollback or tariffs, and if SCOTUS allows them the markets would fall. There’s little to no evidence they’re helping the economy. Growth is being driven by data centers and healthcare, neither of which deal with tariffs. Everything else is pretty stagnant.

You guys spent years saying that jobs numbers, inflation data, GDP reports were all fake when you didn’t like the results. Why? Because you didn’t want to believe them.

it’s ironic that you’re defending Trump while accusing others of poor track records and being overgrown children.

The main driver behind inflation is:
A) Highest fuel prices ever in America due to Biden policies.
B) Importing and subsidizing illegals
C) NGOs stealing taxpayer dollars

You sure it didn’t have anything to do with the massive amount of money flooding into the system in 2020 and 2021?

You mean from the Inflation Reduction Act passed in 2022? Sure, that is possible.

It would be pretty hard to correlate those since inflation came down after the IRA.

The government was dumping tons of money into the economy duding COVID, both from legislation and from the Fed.

The kind of thing Trump wants to do again.
