IMO, part of Mahomes problem was his O-line. They couldnt stop the Eagles. They had no answer for them. Mahomes was running for his life on almost every play.

I sort of hate Mahomes, but I can't really.

I hate him because:
1) he's a Chief. I'm a Raiders fan.
2) he's overexposed on commercials
3) he's a leftwing media and advertising darling because he's bi-racial.
4) he has a goofy semi-Mowhawk hairstyle
5) the announcers go on about how great he is

I like him because:
1) he's polite
2) he's married - doesn't have a baby momma
3) he supported Harrison Butker after Butker took a strong public pro-life stance
4) he refused to openly support leftwing politicians or the PC agenda.
5) he professes to be a Christian.

Bottom line: I want him to lose every game and get sacked on every play. I was thrilled with the Super Bowl result. But, I can't hate the guy.

I think Mahomes is a great guy.
He married his HS Sweetheart instead of some supermodel
He compliments his coaches and teammates after wins.

He is getting older and needs to lose the Skateboarder haircut and he still speaks like a teenager

Have to disagree. If you switch out Brady in his prime for Mahomes in that game he would have been sacked 10 times. Every play, the line was collapsing around Mahomes. The pick 6 was definitely on Mahomes but the rest of the mess was the O-Line getting run over.

When you are pressuring Mahomes with only 4 rushers, all your receivers will be covered or doubled, and you have to move out of the pocket and wait for someone to get open, Mahomes walked right into the defense, and when he did have time to throw, he threw poorly.

Andy Reid is one of the best offensive minds in the game. I expected KC to adjust, get the ball to start the second half and start making a game out of it.

In the first half, NE had about 30 yards offense and the Bears were swarming in the backfield.

Brady's first SB he threw a single TD the entire playoff run (3 games).

Over Brady's first three SB runs combined he threw for 1 more TD than Mahomes in his first SB run. Mahomes is 100% not the GOAT and has a long way to go before it's reasonable to have an actual discussion about that but the idea that Brady cant be overtaken as the GOAT is ridiculous. Mahomes played terrible in the SB but he made it after the back to back. Something Brady never did.

This is the same stupid argument that's made about LeBron that losing in the finals is somehow worse than not making the finals when discussing LeBron v Jordon.

If Mahomes retired today he's not the GOAT. If he continues on the current trajectory and stays healthy, he probably will be. That would mean the Chiefs go to 10 of 12 SB's winning 6 with another back to back. I highly doubt that happens but if it did it would be wildly unprecedented, and I think Mahomes would probably be considered the GOAT at that point.

When the Chiefs were down 10-0 I just thought they were not focused and the old Mahomes would start his comeback and it would soon be a FG game, and then he threw the pick 6 and I knew the Super Bowl was over, you knew he wasn't coming back from that, and he didn't.

The Chiefs are a tight fisted organization, imagine how good this team could have been if they kept Tyreek and established a running game to help out Mahomes. Their stadium is one of the worst in the NFL.

The glory days of Super Bowl wins is over. Give much credit to Mahomes and Reid for all they accomplished with what they had to work with. What got them this far was inept ownership in Buffalo and bad coaching in Baltimore and another cheap owner in Cincy.
