At the last minute when it looked like Johnson was going to be forced to separate the issues and vote separately on them he ran to Hakeem Jeffries to sabotage that effort and passed the whole damn thing and one great big pickpocket pork paty once again giving a great big f you to the average tax paying citizen. The message here is that Congress has no intentions of doing what you elected them for.

Good luck to Musk and Ramaswamy.... They are up against seasoned pros who know how to get want they want regardless of who tries to stop them. It's good that they're throwing light on the process finally but I think they're going to find they've met their match in the DC swamp creatures who have a lot more practice at this than they do.

M & R have a couple of months to carve out some pork before they get another shot at it. I am hoping the incoming congress and admin surprise us all with some real fiscally responsible governing. They have the reins, no excuses.

I hate the idea of Billionaires deciding what is “pork”

What is all this money going to poor people?

Well, the good news is that he got a spending package passed in time for Christmas and signed by Biden with a little less pork in it so they can all go home for the Christmas Holiday. By definition according to democrats, that means that republicans can government just as well as they do.

The bad news is that Johnson is still not the Speaker I wished he was nor anyone I'd want in the WH and we need to keep looking for a better guy with some real backbone.

Trump needs to exercise the veto pen.

Fuck Congress. They're a bunch fucking clowns.

FORCE them to start doing their jobs.

No, they didn't. They said that a shutdown was averted. Show where they called it a "great win" or retract.
They suggested that Trump won somehow. Read this groveling article by these clowns who get excited by the Establishment passing an absurd CR for which only the Dems would have paid a political price of government had shut down.

A masterclass? So successful that the Dems voted 100% in favor of it?

These idiots will be blaming EVERYONE but the fools who voted for repeated debt. You had your credit rating lowered just last year and everyone lines up with excitement to continue the failure pact.

The pages were cut down, but what about the actually costs? Was this another cost of "go ridiculously high and accept a nice $200B extra" of debt or printing of case while inflation continues to be funded by excess government spending?

The world needs to Trump of his first term because now he has nominees he can trust where he didn't then

DAVID MARCUS: De facto President Trump's handling of shutdown threat was a masterclass

The more Trump er Musk try to tighten their grip on Congress the more they will slip through his grasp.

There is a tradition in American politics of a power struggle between the three branches. Ahem, Congress doesn't like to be told how to run Congress by the Executive branch, no matter the party affiliation.

Stop voting for politicians that promise their constituents a lot of free government pork.

Too fucking bad.

Congress is dysfunctional.

We need to bring those assholes to heel.

Don't blame me, I'm a fiscal conservative.

I haven't voted for a commie EVER.

The problem with congress is that they have to make promises to the voters, to bring back something from Washington. And one man's local program is what another man would call pork.

And it takes a majority approving of each others pork, to get a bill passed.
