After our govt started decreasing govt jobs by hiring outside contracted companies we have drastically cut govt workers over the past 30 years....the buildings have been empty for quite a while and have nothing to do with the latest trend of work from home.

To break the 100 yrs or so lease contracts will be costly, but still worth the savings to break them, if there are decades left on them imo.

Getting only about a 50% response on the email request may actually mean that there are tens of thousands of government paychecks going out to people who aren't even there.
