The original libertarians were the anarchists of the nineteenth century. The word wasn't used for a set of political beliefs until they did. Libertarian socialism is still an entirely accurate name.

Even though the world is changing, there is room for preserving the things that made us great in the first place. They hold dear the principles that the Founding Fathers risked their lives for. All of this is a good thing. The only time there is conflict, is when it is taken to the extreme and excludes any new ideas / progress as being "Socialists" or whatever.

You think? I would have agreed with you before visiting this board and others. But part of the philosophy is trying to provide and equal opportunity for all to succeed. I don't see this in today's Republican Party.
