Utility-scale large wind farms are rapidly growing in size and numbers all over the world.
Data from a meteorological field campaign show that such wind farms can significantly affect near-surface air temperatures. These effects result from enhanced vertical mixing due to turbulence generated by wind turbine rotors
Data from the field campaign show that near-surface air temperatures downwind of the wind farm are higher than upwind regions during night and early morning hours, whereas the reverse holds true for the rest of the day (Fig. 2A). Thus, this wind farm has a warming effect during the night and a cooling effect during the day.

Anyone concerned about the warming of the earth's temperature?

How would turbines raise the temperature? They’re designed to take energy from the atmosphere in the form of the air’s kinetic energy. Removing energy lowers the temperature of a system. You’ve got to look at the whole thing, not just downwind.

1. I agree with you that wind turbines do not affect the air temperature, they just extract some energy from the moving air.

2. From the closed thread. The appeals will overturn those 34 bullshit "felonies".

How much concrete does it take to anchor those huge turbines?

Nope, not worried about warm temperatures in the slightest. There's nothing we can do to alter the changes that are occurring in the sun. Its the height of arrogance to think that man can affect a planetary atmosphere.

Warming at night and cooling during the day.

Sounds like it cancels out

ANY form of energy producing plant is going to have an impact.

How much concrete is there in nuke plants and fossil fuel plants?

Researchers report the most accurate modelling yet of how increasing wind power would affect climate, finding that large-scale wind power generation would warm the Continental United States 0.24 degrees Celsius because wind turbines redistribute heat in the atmosphere.

Studies Show Wind Farms Raise Temperatures, And Impact Could Become Significant As More Are Built

Multiple studies have found that wind farms raise temperatures at the ground level. While the effect is small, as more wind farms are built, it could become a significant and sustained problem.

The study looks at what would happen if the United States tried to obtain all of its energy from wind turbines. It found the mixing of warmer air and cooler air results in a temperature increase of 0.54 degrees Celsius (0.97 degrees F) in the areas where the wind turbines would be located. The amount of warming experienced in some regions would be even greater, as Southwestern Minnesota could see a temperature increase of 0.6-0.8 degrees C due to wind turbines, while Northeastern Minnesota would see an increase of 0.3-0.5 degrees C.

So much for 1.5° C increase in global warming!

All true, but is the destruction value of the ecology worth the use of wind turbines. Birds, bats and whales seem to be affected by the sounds emitted by wind turbiines.

They do not create heat. They redistribute it.

Fossil plants create heat. Those steam clouds you see rising above fossil fuel and nuke plants are heat created by those plants.

Wind turbines don’t do that

Maybe read the OP's article?

Tell your expert opinion to these people!
Wind farms can affect local circulation and regional weather; if sufficiently large, they may even alter the structure of weather systems like low-level jets (Larsén and Fischereit). Using remote sensing, Christiansen and Hasager reported that as wind flow passed through large arrays of wind turbines, the mean wind speed was reduced by 8–9% and wake length could exceed 20 km. Wang and Prinn4 suggested that large-scale wind farms can increase global precipitation by 10% in some areas; however, the overall changes were not significant

Maybe learn some science? My argument doesn’t require I read the article, since the premise is absurd.

It's important to remember that scientists always focus on the evidence, not on opinions.
So are you like these early scientists?
Many believed the sun revolved around the Earth, with the ancient Greek scholar Ptolemy formalizing this "geocentric" model in 150 B.C.

Wind turbines taking energy out of the atmosphere is not an opinion. They create electrical energy and, because of Conservstion of Energy, it has to come from somewhere.

Wind turbines do not create heat (or very little). Fossil and nuke plants create huge amounts of heat

Why can't you prove it? Who the hell are you? An expert in weather, or climate, and where are your studies? You are full of frigging totally uninformed!
