AK was only at around 100K when it became a state. Greenland is at around 57K now.

Alaska became the 49th U.S. state on January 3, 1959, through the Alaska Statehood Act. The population of Alaska tripled between 1945 and 1970, growing from 79,000 people to 220,000.

Let's not make that mistake again.

There are only 60,000 people living there... they are trading partners and there are not a lot of subsidies given to Greenland... they are fairly self sufficient due to their minerals and fishing industry....
