Some of the biggest misunderstandings come from not reading the texts and/or failing to think through what the text said. Rewrite them? No. They are.

Problem is, no God will ever show up to approve the writings, and that's what it will take to convince the faithful.

We'll just have to hope when these religions die, as has every religion that came before them, they will be replaced with kinder, more peaceful ones.
