Should schools teach an alternate view of the Holocaust in the interests of balance ?

Referring to the recent law passed in Texas.

Is the alternate view credible enough to demand teaching our kids ?

I would say that it isnt. Some folk on here seem a bit ambivalent about it.
Schools should teach the facts.

That facts and the truth conflict with conservative dogma, proving that dogma to be wrong, isn’t justification for rightwing revisionist history or to otherwise ignore facts and the truth.

No, that was Andrew Jackson's Manifest Destiny, that declared war on Indians. Something about Democrats and their racist attitudes towards people of color.
Yeah? Jackson dealt with the Iriquois Confederacy? Really, you guys should read some history before you bloviate.

Yeah, sure they would, just like the Americans, the East Indians, and any other colonial country ruled by the King/Queen.

"The sun never sets on the British Empire"

This was a little saying the British were very, very proud of for years. Why? Oh, because they had colonized so much of the world that literally, at any given time the sun was up SOMEWHERE in the world in the British Empire.

Proud of that, Tommy? Gonna start a zillion threads on that?

Commission

June 16, 2021 | Austin, Texas | Press Release
Governor Greg Abbott today signed House Bill (HB) 3257 into law, establishing the Texas Holocaust, Genocide, and Antisemitism Advisory Commission. This commission will produce biennial studies of antisemitism in Texas, work with schools and institutions of higher educations to develop effective methods to combat antisemitism, and implement Holocaust and genocide courses of study and awareness programs.
The Governor was joined for the bill signing by
Representatives Phil King, Craig Goldman, Tan Parker, and Doc Anderson, Consulate General of Israel Gilad Katz, and members of the Israel National Defense College, the Jewish Federation, and the American Jewish Committee.
"Antisemitism has no place in Texas, and we have a duty to combat it whenever and however it arises," said Governor Abbott.
"That is why I am proud to sign House Bill 3257 into law, which will create the Texas Holocaust, Genocide, and Antisemitism Advisory Committee and bolster our efforts to eradicate antisemitism in the Lone Star State. Thank you to the Texas Legislature for your bipartisan effort on this important bill."
