You'll have to check the Marauder's Map...
...and we would have to rename the country Meximerica...could you pass 8th grade level Spanish?

I surprised myself. I thought I had forgotten most of it, except the stuff that would get my ass kicked in a bar that I learned from the Mexicans I worked with at McDonald's through HS.

I only got a 5/8... I didn't pass, but I thought that was pretty good considering I have never taken a Spanish class.

I scored a 10/10 on the 8th grade math quiz, though. http://www.blogthings.com/couldyoupasseighthgrademathquiz/

i didn't do too bad considering I had a helluva time IN 8th grade Algebra...my mind just didn't work the way they taught it. this time I just had to remember the order that you solve equations.

Probably not fair though..I learned Spanish growing up in SoCal..then it was an easy switch to Italian.

Wouldn't that be "Somos los hombres?"

Somos el hombre - We are the man.

Somos los hombres - We are the men.

Since you said..."I am the man"...I wanted to say: We are the man.

I guess the best way would be:

Somos....El Hombre.

I wonder if we missed the same one? Hey, I didn't use paper or a calc.I just did it in my head, you?

My head. I suck at math and would say, I couldn't REALLY pass 8th grade math. :laugh: When kids ask me for help I reply, "I'd love to help, but I know enough to know I would really mess you up," then I ask 'who's best in math', and ask that kid to help...

Oh, now this is the kind of crap I would do to my kids.

What is the area of a rectangle 6 inches across and 4 inches tall.

Place the lower left corner (the one with the lowest x and y coordinates) at the origin (0,0). Upper bound of the region is y=4. Right side limit is x=6. Lower and left limits are both zero.

area = Int(0,6) 4 dx

area = |(0,6) 4x

area = 4(6) - 4(0)

area = 24 - 0

area = 24

If I was more awake, I'd do it with a circle. Now THAT'S hard to follow if you don't know high level calculus.
