As I said before, I'm so grateful for Speaker Pelosi and President Trump getting along to peaceful terms, regardless how short lived it may be, it's a start. And it's time to celebrate! Courtesy won!

I had the best teacher in the world, my late husband; he made sure that every day we had something he dreamed up to laugh about. He won hearts by making people laugh. I'm just an amateur next to what his entire life was all about. His employers put him in a spot that profited the corporation--they used his sense of humor to bring union and management together, and it worked. On his watch, no one got electrocuted, because he made safety meetings a laugh-a-thon of good learning, so no lawsuits were ever necessary when the workers were safe and happy. While he was technically a manager, he fought hard for the best benefits for the friends he made with his men. There wasn't one person who didn't benefit from knowing him, because he made good things happen. The guys liked their good wages, the company was pleased not to ever pay out megamillions in lawsuits on his watch. I have no idea how he made everybody laugh. He just had a gift.

That may be so, but taxpayers won't be footing any more bills for Nancy's fabulous family flings. The last straw was her inviting 93 people, mainly family, to go along for taxpayers to pay for their high times. Other Congresspeople have to pay their own flight costs, but now the costs are in the hundreds of millions of dollars for an excessive number of trips per annum, charging it out to the military instead of giving our defenders an increase in pay. I'm glad our President ended this egregious practice, and I hope it never resurfaces in a time of peace.
