My thoughts are that racism has been pretty much soundly rejected by society, except for an uneducated fringe. Slavery has been abolished, and both the Republican and Democratic Party have people of various colors serving under them. And we all know that you can't be a racist and be a Christian. Jesus was a Jew and preached a message of love for all of humanity.

So, if we just made it a crime to express racist beliefs, we might be able to render the last vestiges of racism in our society obsolete. Seems like a win-win to me, and no one would miss the racists.

Here are some examples of what we could make illegal:

*Expressing hatred or violence toward people based on their race or skin color

*Expressing conspiracy theories about people of a certain racial group (e.x. Jews controlling the media)

*Expressing the belief that one race is superior or inferior to another.

**** your authoritarian bullshit. Free speech is imperative for a free society.

So who gets to decide what words constitute racism?

If words hurt you so bad you are a ******* wimp and a loser.

Racism is incompatible with a free society.

I gave examples, such as:

Believing that one race is superior or inferior to another

Believing in conspiracy theories that target a certain race (e.x. believing that "the Jews" control the media).

Basically, we can treat racists the same way that Jews were treated in Nazi Germany, or that black people were treated in the era of Jim Crow. I think that society will always tend to dehumanize one group or another, so if we're going to, we might as well start dehumanizing racists, and maybe dehumanization would actually do some good for a change.

Sounds nice.
Except we just reelected an unfit pile of shit that blew the racist dog whistle throughout his campaigns and whose blueprint for his presidency is a white Christian nationalist manifesto.

But, to answer your question, no.

Seems to me racism just went behind closed doors.

If we want to claim that Donald Trump himself is a racist, then we need get more specific:

I'm aware that Donald Trump attracts racists who support his immigration policies, though racists have rallied behind other candidates as well for one reason or another. such as Ron Paul.

Such as Obama, Biden, and most Democrats.

No crime.

Freedom of speech.

Let society sort it out.

It's none of the government's business.

I'd suggest you read George Orwell's "1984"; to see how that works.

On second thought, given the level of immaturity you've shown on this board, maybe read his "Animal Farm" instead, for a starter.

You have a lot of thoughts to inspire trolling threads.

Interpretation seems to be skewered to who has power. Europe is further along in that regard. There needs to be buffer zone and a level of tolerance for people uttering a sentence or typing one. People with some power need to be careful. As an example, the TV hosts we see every day most lie and slander and smear people of the Republican Party. They have done it long enough that they deserve no tolerance. Imprison them.
