I would like to know more about them myself but as there are just the two of us I don't know what size to get.

There is a semi-local to me seafood place that does air-fried oysters and they come out pretty darn close to pan-fried and anyone who as pan fried oysters knows what a PITA that can be.

I don’t get it.

How is something fried if there’s no grease or oil involved?
Meat has fat in it. The air super heats and traps everything in the chamber.

The trick is getting the timing correct.

Lower fat meats will turn into charred hockey puck with a quickness.

But for things like bacon...porkchops..fatty chicken...the best.

They have suggestions for different foods on the side of units.

You should give it a go...I talked shit at first but this thing is awesome.

We wanted the GE one but this one has been great for just me and the Mrs.
It looks huge and there is the rub.

My Mom bought me one for Christmas a couple years ago. I made hot dogs in it.

My brother hijacked it and it's currently being held hostage at his girlfriend's house. They use it over there all the time. Now that I'm trying to eat a bit healthier (after all I'll be 60 this year) I'm going to actually buy a larger one. Everyone I know who has one raves about it...

What do you have?

What's kept me from buying one is I can't decide which one to get. My toaster oven gets a lot of work, and I'd like to get an air fryer that also has a toaster oven, I think, but then I think "Do I want to give up counter space?" and I end up not getting one. Maybe I'll get a smaller one and keep my toaster oven, even though it will eat up my counter space that way too. I do want an air fryer though, it's past time I get one.
