Zone1 Should Greenland be under the administrative control of the United States?

Instead of "ceasing" land ... I suggest cutting a deal with Denmark and the people of Greenland. I was always taught as a kid that stealing other people's stuff is wrong. I still believe it's wrong. But there's nothing wrong with negotiating.
A win/win/win will be negotiated.

no

If Denmark wants to sell it to us for fair market value (multiple other-party appraisals; toss out the high and the low and average the others)...absolutely! We bought Alaska...we bought Manhattan island...nothing new.

What is new is the orange mara-lard-ass having to suggest taking it. It will take decades to repair the damage this damn fool is doing to US credibility.
Truman tried to get Greenland and Denmark said no, it seems they have made up their minds and haven’t changed it.

Well, if thats the case, that's the end of the discussion. I read your list earlier...you're not telling the whole story. Truman never threatened Denmark by making the statement that we were going to take it "one way or the other" as Trump has.

Never said he did, didI? And BTW, he won’t take it one way or another, drama queen.

Because that would be retarded and it would trigger world war 3. The idea is to be prepared for a WW3 scenario, not provoke it.
I see. But bombing Russia's & China's trade partners or setting up military bases near their trade routes could never trigger WWIII. Am I right?

If the USA wants more bases there, then make a deal with Denmark to lease space. You don't steal it from them by force.

Europe was so worried about their boogie man Russia taking them over, that they didn't see their real enemy, Donald J. Trump making the move to grab them by their *****.

Trump 24h war atomic head nb.webp

They'd get pissed that we took Greenland but not enough to start a nuclear war over it, no you're not right

I like the "king" comparison. Sorta apropos these days. But, again, if we're using the chess analogy ... why mess with pawns when we can just go in for the checkmate. Just like when they kidnapped Maduro. Fly in -- rope down -- capture Putin or Jinping -- claim their resources -- install a new pro-dollar, pro-Israel leader -- and be the masters of the universe.
because they'd install an interim government that's (far) worse than what we faced before?

I believe it absolutely should, this article sums it up quite well.

But in short, we're seeing a race for the Arctic on the global stage between America, Russia, and China. A country as defenseless as Denmark has zero business administering what might be the single most important territory in or around the Arctic circle. If the U.S./NATO got into a full scale conflict with Russia, Greenland would be invaded by them immediately, and they'd do it with ease. On top of that, Denmark does not have the economic mobility to extract and profit off of Greenland's natural resources, the result of this is that despite standing over a $4.4T reserve of rare earth oxides, Greenland has a GDP of $3B and the entire economy is based on fish. No matter how you twist it, Greenland benefits zero from being a part of the Kingdom of Denmark, and their continued administration is a multi-continental security threat.
Make it the 51st state.

WE have enough problems Here at home to deal with.
We maybe should not spend our time & dollars on trying to take over other nations.

**** NO! The people of Greenland are very firm on NOT wanting U.S. Control.
.

With the exception of the female half of the population who were medically assaulted by the Danish government in an attempt to sterilize them.

Ya do it through immigration, just flood the country with American citizens and give them everything they need to stay...it is ours due to the will of the people...or by default

Trump is LYING to you as America has already 17 military bases, they closed 16 of them but they can be reopened anytime.

The current base is manned and being updated now as part of the early missile warning system.

The Island is a money pit as Denmark provides half of the years economy in SUBSIDIES every year without it Greenland would become nearly inhabitable.

Map Shows US Bases Across Greenland During Cold War

Excerpt:

President Donald Trump has said the U.S. would seize Greenland “one way or the other” for security purposes, but during the Cold War, the strategic island was a de facto American military outpost as a Newsweek map shows.

The U.S. military presence at one point consisted of multiple facilities and air bases from the north to south, which has now been whittled down to the Pituffik Space Base, in the north of the Arctic territory.

Trump has raised alarm among Europe’s NATO members with his continued push to acquire the island, touting security concerns, but as one expert told Newsweek, American security issues could also be served by reopening those shuttered American bases.
