On top of that, Denmark does not have the economic mobility to extract and profit off of Greenland's natural resources, the result of this is that despite standing over a $4.4T reserve of rare earth oxides, Greenland has a GDP of $3B and the entire economy is based on fish. No matter how you twist it, Greenland benefits zero from being a part of the Kingdom of Denmark, and their continued administration is a multi-continental security threat.

I'm not too into the idea of the United States owning Greenland outright. It could be an associated nation, but the agreement that we have with them already allows the United States to access it for military purposes, so I don't really see any reason to change that currently. My concern with this is that the US would lower environmental protections over it just to extract resources. Let the people of Greenland decide what they want in a referendum, and be done with it.
