Should Big Pharma Ads Be Banned?

The AIDS drugs ads are the worst. The last thing I want to see when I turn on the TV are a bunch of faggots kissing.

The reason why they show that is because HIV is spread by them. It still should be banned.

The purpose of the ads is to get patients and doctors aware of new innovations being cooked up in the labs of Eli Lilly.

The alternate , more traditional way, of pushing pills is to send pharm reps to doctors offices, give them free samples, buy them lunch, whatever.

How would you suggest pharm outfits let doctors know that there are new, often better , treatments for obesity or whatever?

I liked the days of free samples without jumping through the pharmacy hoops.

If it didn't work then you (or the insurance Co.) were not stuck paying for a 30-day supply.

OTC meds have always been allowed so watch Big Pharma (if they have not done so already) buy out the OTC companies.

Advertising OTC meds to the general public makes sense because the general public can get them freely.

Back when we had pHARMa reps coming to the office, at least we GOT useful things, even if they had advertising on them. When I had my first job out of school, my kitchen was full of advertising, cups and glassware. Not to mention all those notepads!

And it was FREE!

A better question is, why was the government mandating people take the Pharma vaccines?

Since moving from WA State to South Dakota, I have met almost NO people who have taken the jab. It certainly does vary by state, and I know that Inslee would have mandated anything he could get away with.

What a huge difference. Although, I must admit that tweaking the young Covidiots was huge fun.
