The idea that an insurance company should sell you an insurance policy after you're already sick is fundamentally irrational. It shows a completely misunderstanding of what insurance is.It was changed over a decade ago. Shoppers who want to switch insurers today don't have to worry about being denied the opportunity to do so.
When the free market goes corrupt, then what's left ? The government right ? Are they not for the people by the people or is that just feel good bull chit talk ??The idea that an insurance company should sell you an insurance policy after you're already sick is fundamentally irrational. I think it's deliberate. Those trying to sell the distorted conception of insurance are simply socialists, doing what they can to undermine freedom and promote the idea that we are all hapless slaves who need to be cared for by our owners (government, corporations, etc ...)
What do you mean exactly? If people are committing fraud or robbing people, yeah. We need government to deal with that. When the free market goes corrupt, then what's left ?
Which people? Are they not for the people by the people or is that just feel good bull chit talk ??
Fix what? How do we fix it then ??
After all: we aren’t Canada. My health insurance has never denied me any treatment since I've started paying for it through my employer.
All of them? Or just the majority? The American people..
Usually the majority rules when it comes to a vote or any other type of good thing that it desires in a democracy right ? The minority usually are represented if they have been made victim's of corruption or criminal activities right ?All of them? Or just the majority?
Whether it's a "good thing" or not is subjective. The people who didn't vote for it might think it's terrible.Usually the majority rules when it comes to a vote or any other type of good thing that it desires in a democracy right ?
The only thing HSA does is take your own money and give you a tax break to save into it. But all purchases must be medical. Also, one can't have an HSA plan and medicare. oops.Employer-sponsored health insurance is like term life insurance. There is no equity buildup. And like other insurance, it depends on most of the insured members not costing the plan as much as they are paying into it. A financial problem arises when not enough of these people are paying into the plan to cover the cost of providing services to the few who are receiving more than they are paying for. As a result, taxpayers are ultimately forced to make up the shortfall.
One alternative to this situation is a Health Savings Account (HSA), which allows individuals to put away money for future medical expenses. If this money is not used, it remains the property of those individuals. Perhaps this should be a mandated option for those not enrolled in a traditional health insurance plan?
most people who don't vote for something someone else introduces and implements don't ever think it's a good thing. It works both ways right?Whether it's a "good thing" or not is subjective. The people who didn't vote for it might think it's terrible.
like mandating shit. And then scream women's choice. hypocrisy is all they got. This is where Democrats lose me. They seem to think that the will of the majority is sacrosanct. That it can do no wrong and that government is obligated to force the will of the majority on everyone else. I don't.
they never think government should be limited. That's the delineator. They are for full force into their way of thinking. All of it. you either agree or unalive to you! They don't negotiate.Democrats seem to think of limited government
Oops? The OP is NOT about Medicare. The only thing HSA does is take your own money and give you a tax break to save into it. But all purchases must be medical. Also, one can't have an HSA plan and medicare. oops.
yep. and?Oops? The OP is NOT about Medicare.
"oops."yep. and?
I recommend crutches"oops."
I forgot to ignore you. oops.I recommend crutches
"When" it goes corrupt? It crossed that threshold many moons ago and big corporate power keeps getting more corrupt. When the free market goes corrupt, then what's left ? The government right ? Are they not for the people by the people or is that just feel good bull chit talk ??
Hmm, maybe place the word minority where you have the word majority, and then tell me if that works when speaking of the Democrat's better ?Whether it's a "good thing" or not is subjective. The people who didn't vote for it might think it's terrible.

Democrats seem to think of limited government primarily as a means of preventing autocrats from taking over - leaders who would act against the "will of the people". But the Constitution protects us against the whim of the majority every bit as much as it protects us from autocratic tyranny. It limits the power of the government regardless of whether the government has the support of the majority.
