A mass public shootings stopped by armed security.....it doesn't say in the article if the armed guard was professional or if he was simply an armed member of the church...

The security team was created 10 years ago......

This is why we have the 2nd Amendment......saving lives.

The bottom line in America is expressed by M14Shooter. As reposted below in my signature.

The solution? Chain link fences with razor wire around all churches?

None of the answers to the details of this shooting are going to change the fact that M14Shooter got it right about safety of Americans.

Was he expressing his feelings a little prematurely?

Good deal.

I'm pleased that there are a couple of men at my church who are armed. I only wish that there were more people like myself, who do not soil themselves at the mere thought of being in the same room as a gun. For now, the armed men at church have to carry concealed.

I wish nuns could carry for their own protection. There is a chapel in Sioux Falls devoted to Perpetual Adoration, which means that the Holy Eucharist -- a consecrated host -- is on display at all times. Some while ago, a lunatic entered the chapel and tried to get his hands on the Eucharist, and several sisters shielded the Eucharist with their bodies. I can't help but think that, if that intruder had been armed, Sioux Falls might have a new Catholic Martyr.

Now, what protects the Eucharist and the sisters is an iron fence, shown just after 1:15 in this video.

I always think of this incident whenever I attend Eucharistic Adoration, which I will be doing in a little over an hour. As church members, we sign up to be present for a particular period of time, so that the Eucharist is never unattended.

Crazies are out there. I'm glad this particular one has ended his crazy career.

Ramming a church several times with a truck then attempting a mass shooting is a stupid idea these days. What are the odd it was an Islamic terror attack?

Maybe we'll find out.

We'd find out immediately if it was a white guy. The Christ-hating MSM would be drooling all over it.

No more please than I am about their need to carry concealed weapons to the church!

Both of us will be even more pleased when the atmosphere in the churches is more focused on guns carried in plain sight!

No Demofuk is going to forget M14Shooter's message when they sit behind a citizen carrying a machine gun!

To be honest, many of us have carried guns to church for years. Why just this morning I attended services with my wife, and had this strapped to my hip. This gun is deadly accurate and can reach way out there...

This is why our church--not even a large one--has a security team. We lock all doors soon after the service starts and have armed men in every service. We don't know who they are, btw.

Can't wait to find out who perpetrated this....hmmmm

I was in on the start-up of the Bug-A-Salt....You gave them $25.00 and if it got off the ground they sent you one. It was a big deal on ARFCOM.

Here's the 1.0 model they sent me.

Well I can tell you right now that group wasn't fired with that thing, unless it was clamped in a rest and fired from 10 feet distance!

I dinked with the colors to make it look more "realistic." The dickhead above this post thought it was real. :laughing0301:

Actually mine is exactly like the one you pictured, except it's the 3.0 model. I found it at a garage sale yesterday new in the box for $3 whole dollars, and it came with this:

The group BTW was some JHP 200 grain .44 magnum I loaded up last week. 26.0 grains of IMR 4227, standard large pistol primers, average 1330 fps. I could push them up to 1680 fps, but I was going for accuracy over power. Not bad for a 25 yard three-shot group from sandbags.

A friend of mine got a 1.0 from the same start-up deal. He lived by himself and the dumb ****** had salt in his house everywhere. :laughing0301:

What the **** is that? ? ?

My goto is an M&P compact with Vortex optic, Apex trigger job and KKM barrel. At church I carry a spare competition mag (23 rounder) and ASP recommended mace.

.

That's called the law.

The law says that crazies cannot own guns. They tend to ignore laws.

.
So if they post a social media comment that they're suffering anxiety etc.. how are their guns confiscated until they get better?
