Hi, I agree with the general sentiment that these missionaries have been mis-treated by the police, however, being investigated by the DOJ sounds really serious. While the 60's were an abomination the one good thing that came out of it was civil rights, unfortunately we now have white liberals using it for their own power grab and folks on the right aid in that grab by blaming minorities for things done in their name... white liberals are the enemy, treat them and them alone as such and defeating them becomes a turkey shoot.

Civil rights didn't start in the 60s. They were advancing nicely before that.

The 60s people wanted it faster and they used some bad tactics and ideas that have beeome embeded in the left and the media.

American is mainly a Christian country. Now you can argue whether it should be a Christian country, but that doesn't change the fact that a sizable portion of Americans are Christian. And when a mainly Christian country is forbidden from proselytizing its religion but a foreign religion (which is what Islam is) is given a free rein, then something is wrong.

To be fair, there are countless videos on the internet of police demanding ID, threatening to arrest or actually arresting people, telling them to "move along" and other illegal actions with no justification other than someone complained. The police always seem to take the side of the complainers even if the ones they complain about are only exercising their free speech and recording in public.

Not saying the police are right. Not saying this was not an action to protect Muslims; in Dearborn, MI, that is entirely possible. But mainly, police want to avoid trouble even if it means using the illegal "heckler's veto."
