The Denver Post is known as a liberal newspaper, and it's been many years since they have endorsed a Republican. On Friday, October 10, 2014 they endorsed Cory Gardner for the Senate seat. He is running against democrat incumbent senator Mark Udall.
The Denver Post citing a worn out, one issue (war on women) attack campaign that Udall was using against Gardner, versus a fresh candidate in Gardner who talked about job creation, energy etc.
