Who could have seen that coming...

Good. Now we got them. Makes locking them up easier when we finally catch them.
So we catch them, let them go, they don't show up for court & you say this is a good thing if we can catch them again?

Do you ever get the feeling the monkeys typing your BS have a contest to see who can get you to post the stupidest nonsense?
A doubt a monkey could go broke by underestimating your buffoonery

That is the worst excuse I have ever heard.
What do you mean? Do you not believe in the American Justice system? Innocent till proven guilty, yada yada.

If you were awaiting bullshit charges would you want us to not allow you out on bail because you might not show up?

This is a drug dealer not a murderer right?

That jail bed is needed for a deadbeat parent or dog rapist ... our society has levels of criminality ... drug dealers are good people doing bad things is all ...

OP, how do you expect our citizens to respect the law when they see our so-called leaders flouting the law every day w/o consequence?

Yea no one has ever OD'd and died.

If you're charged with a crime, bullshite or not, you are obligated to appear in court to have the matter heard before a judge.

Often, the accused receives a summons to court. If you the charge is more serious, they may be bailed to court, where failure to appear forfeits any bond paid and incurs an additional criminal charge.

If the crime is more serious or if there is a history of the accused not appearing in court when ordered, bail may be refused and the accused will stay in police or correctional custody until he can be brought before the court.

Bottom line, if you are charged, you must appear in court and the court has legal powers to ensure that you do.

Why do people with money get out while they await trial? Everyone should be out free to prove themselves innocent. Can’t do that sitting in jail.

And if you don’t show, double the sentence.
Because those people who pay their bale are more likely to show up for court. The fucking drug dealers didn't show and know they are free to keep killing people. There is no defense for this shit.

You're confused. Yes, people who post bail are more likely to show up but for a drug dealer like Scarface, that bail isn't going to be a problem and if he loses it, so what?

Free to keep killing people? I thought they were drug dealers not murderers. And relax. We will pick them up later. We'll get them. And now they will spend even longer in prison for not showing up. They did us a favor. It would have been 10 years out in 5. Now it will be 15 out in 10. You should be happy they didn't show up. Adds to their sentence.

I get the feeling you'd like to give drug dealers life sentences.

WRONG!

Washington, D.C. has relied heavily on alternatives to cash bail for more than twenty years. The District of Columbia enjoys a reappearance rate of 90%

In addition to the 1.6 million people incarcerated in federal and state prisons, there are more than 600,000 people locked up in more than 3,000 local jails throughout the U.S. Over 70 percent of these people in local jails are being held pretrial — meaning they have not yet been convicted of a crime and are legally presumed innocent.

One reason that the unconvicted population in the U.S. is so large is because our country largely has a system of money bail, in which the constitutional principle of innocent until proven guilty only really applies to the well off.

so, why would a guy like Scarface ever be granted bail?

Yes, the courts can deny bail.

Even better, why were these drug dealers granted a recognizance bond (no money) when they were clearly a flight risk?

Maybe you don't understand how this shit works.
