Seventeen Wendy's Employees Quit Right On The Spot.

Service industry workers were given the added insult that they were non essential and weren't allowed to work while still a majority of the workforce was allowed to continue.

Now people are starting to realize service IS essential.

greedy bastards. they make a lote more then i did when iwas working for swiss colony/

I only make maybe $50 an hour and I am forced now to pay all my employees $15 or they quit after 2 months

wow . they ought to see what I made. Compared to their big old pay checks now.

The guy working 84 hrs a week and keeping the story afloat should have been making far more than $14
What a joke
Did this store have a owner or was it company owned

Go here for the story. To me, the manager who quit is lucky that they never once had themselves a heart attack or a stroke due to all that they did!

God bless you and them and the other former workers always!!!

If there is one good thing that could come out of this pandemic, it would be the end of "The customer is always right" and "we want to hear from you".

No

Sometimes the customer is a rude, ignorant egghead who should frankly shut their mouth. Walking in to an establishment does NOT grant one the "right" to demand service there. Just that alone--demanding basic human decency from customers--would go a long way toward keeping employees.

If you don’t like your job give notice before quitting. And good luck getting another job, walking off a job looks bad on a resume.
I agree that a better notice should be given, but when applying for any job, I've seen applications ask why the quitting happens when asking about a person's work history. In other words, if these places who need the help badly enough want anyone to stick around and be an employee, better considerateness for the employees had better be in that picture or eventually the picture will no longer have any employees in it.

God bless you always!!!

P.S. One thing that needs to be considered is this: The word "raise" may come first in the dictionary, but if a person doesn't eventually get to the word known as "rest", what point is there in a raise should the person wind up being too worn out and dead to spend that additional money?

2 weeks notice it too long. 3 days is more than sufficient. $14.77 today is a joke. I fully support them in every aspect of this story. The emoyees owed the place nothing. Not even a notice in this case.

Lmao I work construction. They fire or lay me off whenever they want without notice. So we can quit without notice.

Been happening forever. You'll never wirk again garbage. lol

One job i was on lost HALF of the workers during a safety meeting. They played the OR ELSE scolding constructiin workers. The workers gave them the FU bye response.

Safetyman was UNEMPLOYED about an hour after the meeting

There is a sign at Wendys near where I work. $500 sign in bonus. lol

Depending on the job no days notice is fine and in others 2 weeks is not really enough.

15th post
In at will the employer can let an employee go as of the end of the day. Why would an employee then give 2 weeks?
