The free market should decide what men and women earn. Men and women make different career decisions and have different risks. Women are more likely to leave the workforce for awhile to raise babies. Men are more likely to be electricians, plumbers, and heating and air technicians which tend to pay better than clerical jobs that women are more likely to take. The large pay gap between men and women is most likely a myth after adjusting for the differences.
