Senator Tom Cotton (R-Ark) and Sen David Perdue (R-Ga) have introduced a bill that actually reforms immigrtion. Sen Res 354; Reforming American Immigration for Strong Employment Act (RAISE Act) A Bill to Restore Historical Legal Immigration Levels

& Give Working Americans a Fair Shot at Wealth Creation was referred to a committee where it will probably gather dust forever. So sad as it actually follows recommendations of a commission from 20 years ago.

You find the Senator's spiel on the act @ http://static.politico.com/fd/af/3eebc635479892982f81bdfe3fa2/raise-act.pdf

with the govtrack information @ RAISE Act (S. 354) and the actual text of the bill @ Text of S. 354: RAISE Act (Introduced version) - GovTrack.us

Here's the overview: A bill to amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to eliminate the Diversity Visa Program, to limit the President's discretion in setting the number of refugees admitted annually to the United States, to reduce the number of family-sponsored immigrants, to create a new nonimmigrant classification for the parents of adult United States citizens, and for other purposes. (This “for other purposes” part always disturbs me – where they add all the pork barrel stuff)

Trump would veto it anyway.

Let's see what he says about immigration tonight.
