If you live in a woke city you need to take a long, hard look at your local media. Can these information sources be trusted? Are the local media in the city too closely aligned with World Economic Forum and its plans to undermine the United States with ICLEI and Agenda 21 policies to change the voting demographics of the country?
Did your city broadsheet join a coalition of other newspapers to block the free speech of a former US president saying that his criticism of the press was a threat to democracy. Why would any newspaper join other newspapers to stem free speech? The answer of course is that actual free speech is dangerous to a status quo that has a decidedly socialist agenda and something to hide.
UN Agenda 21 and ICLEI: Is "sustainable development" something the American people want?
At 77 years old I have memories of what I was taught in school. One of the key points I recall is that I was told the main difference between democracy and totalitarianism is that in a democracy the press is there to inform the people and regularly investigate the existing power structure to keep it honest. In totalitarian countries the press functions as public relations for the established status quo. The press in authoritarian countries is essentially a propaganda arm of the government.
The instructors I had as a young citizen were survivors of the Great Depression and a world war, and I felt confident that they were telling me the truth. I still believe they gave me useful information. In closed, centrally planned societies like the former Soviet Union and East Germany critics of the government were routinely arrested and charged with crimes against the state. People in those societies would watch as dissidents were jailed along with their supporters, and many would assume state offenders were guilty of serious crimes. After all, the people in power and the subservient press were clearly saying that the troublemakers were trying to overthrow the state. We were told that could never happen here because we have democracy with a vigilant press that would expose it.
Did you see what they did to a former US president who was not part of a cabal to fundamentally change America? These people just substituted the word state for the word democracy and then accused the president of being an existential threat to the state which was now what democracy is all about. In other words, the state, not the people, decides what democracy is. New woke socialism in your city has redefined democracy as something owned exclusively by the state so socialism in now democracy. Do you see how clever that is? This is the same dark verbal virtuosity that was used by the communists in the Cold War.
All you have to do is look around and see what is happening. You need to see it with your own eyes not the distorted lens the state is providing for you.
