Secession from Obama’s America

The citizen's miltia in this part of the USA would not allow secession.

I don't think they are apart of that militia, the guys around here tend to play by their own rules.
Next time someone bombs something I will bet you a 100 bucks they spent sometime in eastern washington or norther idaho. I talk crap about the south and red states but I hate to admit it but some of the biggest nutter live in this area. Every time something happens like a bomb or a shooting I just sit and wait for the local news to find ties to this area.
But it is very beautiful here.

The az cm has it's nutters too- don't get me wrong. But they are mostly reserve guys and ex-service and corp guys. All of the local sherrif deputies seem to belong. Rumor has it that even sherrif joe belongs(from phx). They believe they are there to defend the constitution and this part of the homeland.
Now that being said, I am sure there are other groups of militia in az, but that is the group that Janet was so intent on shutting down.

I just happen to work in a place where they have some of their drills, thats the only reason I happen to know anything about it. Most of us here consider them the good guys.

When I was in high school they blanketed all the cars out front one morning. I also spend two hours in lock down because they shot up a bank nearby as a deco. These people scare the shit out of me.

I would agree, those guys are scary. All I was pointing out is that all militias are not the same. It may be something about our state constitution. Two points, the az constitution states that the state prefers it's residents to go about armed, and that those that don't are dependent on those that do for protection. (So there are lots of guns in az)
point 2, the az constitution defines the citizens militia as being made up of every armed citizen of the state.
There might be a few left, but the skinheads got asked to leave a few years back by the cm, and they supposedly went north.

Its getting ugly. The crappy states like CA, NJ, MI, and NY and others going bankrupt will default. The Fed will NOT bail out an irresponsible State. It can't afford to. CA is a perfect example of political correctness run amok. I don't think any States will secede, but they may start a tax revolt if the Feds raise taxes too much. Then the feds have no money to waste.

The red states take more revenue from the federal government than they pay in.

I see we have some Sheriff Joe fans here, as someone who also lives in Az. is hard to live here and not know who Sheriff Joe is. I'm always reminded when I hear stories about him of something a friend told me once. He told me to take a ride to Sun City right about election time and see how many road crews (i.e. chain gangs) Sheriff Joe has painting the curb's with yellow or red warning paint., or perhaps cleaning the side of the road. He is well liked here by many, and is consistantly elected to office regardless of what many might thing his duties may or may not be. Let's take for example what he is most noted for and that is picking up illegal aliens and turning them over to ICE for deportation. If a criminal in Maricopa county is suspected of commiting a crime , regardless of where that crime is , that gives the arresting officer every right to detain someone for that crime. So the bottom line here is, is a person that crosses the border in violation of US Law. if so, then they have commited a crime and are therefor subject to being detained.

Very true...when you live in a basically rural state what sort of jobs are there for you? Mostly farm work...and that's all done by illegal aliens...so their only choice is to move (cost prohibitive if you are broke) or go on the taxpayers dime. Not that I like to point fingers here jillian but that figure really proves nothing in todays economy. First of all some the states you listed are not in the South they are out west, and one of them is a blue state at least as far as the last election goes. So if we are trying to prove that somehow those states that voted for Barack Obama are somehow better than those that didn't then I fail to see the proof. Let me give you a few examples, Take Michigan for instance, according to the bls, since October of 2008 which was one month prior to Barack Obama's election Michigans unemployment rate was 9.0% today it is 15% after Stimulus, after the auto bail out. Want a little more, Lets take Washington state. where Boeing buulds commercial aircraft, recently as a result of a 57 day strike and a failure to come to an agreement with the Union Boeing has made the decision to move it's production facility of the 787 Dreamliner to S.C. taking 3000 jobs with it. Still more, Toyota as a result of costs associated with its joint venture with GM costs associated with it's UAW facilites in Cali. and Mexico has decided to move it's Tacoma production to San Antonio, Tx. Still more,

TEMA Announces a $1.3 billion investment to build a new vehicle manufacturing plant in Blue Springs, Mississippi near Tupelo to employ 2,000; to build the Toyota Highlander. Plant to be named Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Mississippi, Inc. (TMMMS) (February)

So jillian when people see statistics such as these, to me at least it tells me that the South is fast becomming a place where industries want to move too, for many different reasons. It does not mean that these States are any less a part of the United States or the people in them, and I would remind everyone that the last Democrat prior to this one was from one of those Southern States that people seem to think are not equal in status somehow to others.
