Seattle's Crime Is Way Down

Crime map of Seattle

For a comparison, here is Dallas

Criminalizing drug use isnt a good crime estimator. Violent crime is what you should be looking at.

I wonder if you guys use your brain before or after reading something? Please let me know if you do.
Property crime doesn't count? How very entitled of you.

I posted the property crime rate afterwards which is also at a modern low. Striiiiiiiiiike 3.

Here's your violent crimes stats for states - declared strike three one. Be careful what you meddle in, you might look dumb. Ca. Or. Wa. Nv. Co. Mn. Ct. ME., NY, NJ, VT. DL, DC crime up 2020-2024......Dollars to donuts even in States with reduced crime have Democracked cities where it's not.

Thanks for posting exactly what I claimed: Crime is at modern lows. The 90's had twice the crime rate. Nothing you posted disputes that. The safest states are blue and most dangerous are red. You cant under report murders as they are all reported. It is the most transparent statistic of all. Murder is lower in blue states and lower now than it was in the 90's by far.

I demonstrated how your lib-speak is a lie. But you can pretend otherwise.

Plus you libs. always want to talk about States when the fact is even in Red States it's blue cities that tilt the scales. Speak of cities, the finer example for what occurs, here you go Democrack...

Sorted by Cities with the Most Crime.

Common sense - which downtown is safer? 100 robberies a day for a 100K city population or 51 robberies a day for a 50K city population...... You're almost twice as likely to be robbed in the city with the lower crime rate per capita.

Keep in mind, wealthy neighborhoods (primarily Democrat $) experience low crime because they have $ for security in nice places.
This is a guide, if you believe crime is reported equally, such as in SF where city crime is expected/ignored, then I have some swamp land…...
One of the top 17 leans Republican, and it's Dayton Ohio. The rest are Democrat. Wow, look at the crime to population. Shame, my parents were born there.
21 of the top 116 cities with the most crime lean Republican. 10 of 21 (48%) of these suggest crime to population is favorable.
77 of the top 116 cities with the most crime lean Democrat. 22 of 77 (29%) of these suggest crime to population is favorable. Two of these 22 cities voted Trump 2024, incidentally.
18 of the top 116 cities with the most crime are purple. 6 of 18 ( 33%) of these suggest crime to population is favorable.

Moronic. Random selection of data. Aggregate all the data to states and all the dangerous states are in red states.

34 felonies. 34 convictions. ZERO jail time.
The vast majority of cases against individuals charged in connection with the George Floyd protests, particularly minor offenses like curfew violations, were dismissed. In some jurisdictions, the dismissal rates for these charges exceeded 90% or even 95%.
Across a dozen cities analyzed by The Guardian and The New York Times, the outcomes varied by jurisdiction and charge severity:
  • Minneapolis (Misdemeanor Citations): 95% of the 520 misdemeanor citations issued to protesters were dismissed. The city pursued only about 75 of 666 initial cases.
  • Dallas and Philadelphia: As many as 95% of citations were dropped or never formally prosecuted. In Dallas, charges against 674 people arrested on a bridge were dropped just three days later.
  • Harris County, Texas: The District Attorney dismissed nearly 800 criminal cases related to the protests, leaving active charges against only 51 adults and one juvenile.
  • Portland, Oregon: About 60 of roughly 100 cases were dismissed, while the District Attorney's office rejected a total of 721 cases for prosecution and pursued 144.
  • Denver: The city attorney's office dismissed charges against more than 300 people arrested solely for breaking curfew or failing to obey police orders.

Providing a list of cities with the most crime and showing red/blue/purple is now random. Good to know.

Personal gender assignment is random too. Same whether or not you protest ICE, cuz you know, it was all good when Obama was POTUS, stuff like that.

Property crime doesn't count? How very entitled of you.
No crimes count and then they plead down violent crimes to something lower and then claim violent crime is down. They openly say that property and other theft crimes are only because "maybe people are hungry", while places like California give everyone a blank check to steal about $1,000 per occasion.

Your stupid math thinks 200 murders in one democrat city is lower than 50 murders in a red area.

Winner....Lib democrats don't like count the many millions of times they were ripped off either, places like San Francisco. That and 10 bucks will get you a cup of coffee.

I posted the property crime rate afterwards which is also at a modern low. Striiiiiiiiiike 3.

You posted for the whole US........this thread is about Seattle. Not a valid comparison.

Property crime in the Puget Sound area (From Bellingham to Olympia and up to Port Townsend) is outrageous and that is backed up by higher home insurance rates.. Last year mine went up over $400, the year before was $200 and the year before that $100 for the whole year and I've never made a claim. Yes, I understand costs go up but they've never gone up as much as in the last 2 years. I'm sure with the fewer arrests made, those figures will be skyrocketing even higher on a yearly basis.

While we are lower than the national average for violent crimes, we're near the top for property crime.

What is the crime rate in Washington state? | USAFacts

Washington ranked third among states for high property crime rates (2,467 offenses per 100,000 people). The rate was highest in New Mexico (2,751 offenses per 100,000 people) and lowest in Idaho (736). Washington, DC (3,693 offenses per 100,000 people) would rank first among all states in terms of highest property crime rates.
