Seattle hoping to raise property taxes now

That should fix the homeless problem. Make housing more expensive, Democrats are idiots.

Good,

It cost money to maintain civilization. Maybe the thief's at the top shouldn't be so anti-American as they screw this country?

It could be that members of the City Council are "jobbers" for
fuel companies and the more residents they drive from the city
the more fuel they will sell when those folks move out of the
city and have a longer drive each morning and evening.

Considering how much of a homeless problem they have, maintaining civilization is something they seem to be failing at.

But like most problems, it can be solved by throwing more money at it......./sarcasm.

Its a proposal for now but it looks like Seattle means to shoot themselves in the ass.

What a bunch of maroooooonnnnnssss.

Stay on topic or give us supporting documentation on what you are talking about.

They really don't see the irony in that....I mean these people are among the dumbest ever
You have to be a morn to vote democrat. Nothing else can explain the conclusions they reach.

Housing is too expensive? Tax the shit out of housing!

Want more high paying jobs? Tax the shit out of employers!

What i think is funny is that Seattle's commercial building code is 750 pages and their residential building code is 650. The red tape that needs to be cut through in order to build something for people to occupy in some way is enormous, which has helped lead to the housing crisis. Because the city won't let people easily build new buildings, you get stuck with a higher and higher bill for the privilege of having a place to live or operate a business in in the first place.

But hey, if you don't support this tax, WHY DO YOU HATE CHILDREN!?!?!

people want quality schools, good roads that are well marked with good lighting at night, safe parks and walking trails, modern police and fire departments, up to date libraries for their kids - they want a better quality of life.

but they expect it to fall out of thin air or FOR FREE out of someones butt because THEY dont want property taxes.

I think these people already pay plenty of property taxes.

and for most of these cities the biggest cost will soon be pension liabilities, and the costs punted down the road come to roost.

so the liberal takers step out with open hands wanting their free shit ...

oh wait, they're hypocrite RW's.

figures.

Apologies if this has been posted already. Seattle's city council trying to impose another property tax increase on the Seattle properties that are still legally occupied by humans.

A week after controversial head tax passes, Seattle City Council members propose property tax increase

Good. They voted for that extremist government, so they deserve the tax increase.

Let's see how that chipper attitude holds up when States and Cities like this run for the Feds when they can't pay their pension costs and beg to be bailed out.
