Dear
sealybobo and
The2ndAmendment
Now we have two different challenges here
A. the original issue was proving or disproving the existence or nonexistence of God
(I argue either is faith based, and depends on people agreeing on what they mean by God or what they are defining or representing)
B. whether
sealybobo has credibility which is a separate argument than A
As for being Republican or not, my impression of
sealybobo was more
like a Libertarian type. So some of these beliefs align with other Republicans
and some are in conflict. That is typical of any other Libertarian, Republican or Constitutional advocate
I have found, and comes with the political territory and nature of these conflicts in beliefs.
For B, I find
sealybobo to be no more or less consistent or conflicted than anyone else
in the Libertarian/Conservative/Republican range. My overall impression is that
sealybobo
does answer and respond to reasonable explanations and is very open to reconciling where
possible, without compromising where this isn't necessary. I see nothing wrong with any issue of
"credibility" with
sealybobo, so I prefer not to let arguments about B distract from
original arguments A which is has great value and interest in content, while B serves no positive purpose.
Can we go back to A?
My argument is
sealybobo is
1. defining God to mean something that is relative and doesn't exist universally for everyone according to THAT meaning or representation
2. and we would have to agree what Satan means as well, which has more than one meaning as does God
Satan can mean the negative influence of fear and selfishness
which becomes greed, ill will, and destructive attitudes that destroy relations with others.
Literally, there are dark forces called demons under Satan
which even Scott Peck wrote about observing in his book Glimpses of the Devil
when he witnessed patterns and stages of behavior, sickness and recovery in
patients with demonic personalities and voices. Peck did not believe in any
"Devil or Satan" being real entities, until he saw these voices and entities
speak for themselves beyond any control or knowledge of the patients held as hosts by these external forces.
Not until he witnessed for himself that these were operating independently
did he understand what Christians mean by demons and Satan being outside influences
that invade and oppress or possess the free will and minds of people with no control
except to ask help to remove this obstruction so they can recover their free will.
I have never met people who could grasp any of this is real without seeing it for themselves.
it just sounds too fantastical or delusional, as even Peck believed it had to be
from mental delusions and chemical imbalances in the brains of patients.
So I do not fault
sealybobo having skepticism and rejection, as that is natural.
Until you see scientific proof or eyewitness experience, there is no reason to believe this is true.
The most I have seen people do is change their minds and be OPEN to the idea
it could be proven true. But again, even Peck agreed this is still FAITH BASED.
He and his other team members " could have all experienced a mass hallucination "
at the same time, or could all by lying from the perspective of outside people who weren't there as witnesses.
So THAT level of "believing there is a Satanic realm of demonic entities"
is different.
Not everyone needs to believe in that to understand
"Satan" in general to mean selfish or fear based influence on the negative side of destruction and ill will
and
"God" in general to mean unconditional love, collective truth, univeral laws of life and nature,
or the power of Greater Good Will for humanity overcoming ill will and destructive forces of fear
I would even reframe God and Satan as
faith in Abundance Mentality
vs. fear based on Scarcity Mentality
Abundant believers that life is good tend to be generous and selfless in sharing and investing in others
with faith that the good attracts more good and pays forward
Scarcity fear mongers tend to be selfish from lack of faith there are enough resources
without trying to control or force other people such as by bullying or politics etc.
If people believe in God or Good will, truth and love as being more powerful
this tends to correlate with trusting in people to change by free will and reason, by supporting where we agree,
not by force by bullying by exclusion, coercion, insulting or attacking etc. which is Antichrist or abuse of authority or power.
Believing in reconciling man's individual will with God's "collective good will"
through Christ Jesus means faith in Restorative Justice to
establish justice and peace in all our relations and to restore society and humanity
as a collective process.
So either
sealybobo has faith that such Good will or God exists
or defines God to be universal truth or something else that drives us
to correct falsehood and injustice and seek this higher level, whatever you call it.
sealybobo whatever level of TRUTH you are seeking to establish here,
how would you frame that goal or this process in terms of what other
people would call reconciling with God's or Universal Truth to bring peace and freedom from problems?
