Missing airport uniforms to be investigated

Federal Transport Minister Jean Lapierre has ordered an investigation over missing airport uniforms.

His officials also alerted airport screeners to double-check identification.

"Since 1 p.m. this afternoon, at the 89 airports across the country, we're double-checking the identification cards, not only when (employees) enter the premises, but also during the work shift," Lapierre told reporters Saturday.

His comments were in reaction to a CBC news report that hundreds of uniforms (or parts thereof) and badges worn by airport security personnel have gone missing.

Not only that, it has happened even in the heightened, post-9/11 security environment.

Who took in most of your planes on 9/11? Who went into Afghanistan right after the US asks us as a part of War on Terror. What country commanded the NATO program in Afghanistan for almost a year? What country has just a many casualties from US friendly fire incidents than terrorist insurgencies in Afghanistan. What country has sat idly as one after another trade restrictions has gone up against it, in the hope that relationships will get better? What country is willing to try to put it all in the past, because the two neighboring countries have had friendship dating back years?
