Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) says Democrats will prioritize circumventing the Senate filibuster to pass voting rights legislation if they keep control of the White House and Senate and win back the House in November.

Schumer attempted to carve out a loophole in the Senate’s filibuster rule, which requires 60 votes to end debate and move to a final vote on a bill, to pass voting rights legislation in January 2022, but he was blocked by two centrist members of his conference, Sen. Joe Manchin (W.Va.) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.), both of whom are retiring from Congress at the end of the year.

Comment:
Schumer wants new laws that make it easier for the Democrats to rig elections.
He wants to give the Democrat Party's 30+ million non-citizens the right to vote.
Schumer is lying again.
He is not doing anything for the benefit of American citizens.
He is attempting to give the greedy corrupt Democrats permanent one party power.
When the Democrats use the word "democracy" it means that only they will be allowed to win elections.

Oh

Fuck

No!

The states have the right to make their own election laws.
Schumer is attempting to bypass states' rights.
Federal legislation is superior to States rights. Just ask segregationists. Or you know open a history book or take a high school American history class.

Democracy = mob rule. Schummer = mob boss.

They want to cheat so bad in November they can taste it....

Of course.

When they won in 2020 they said the election was the best and most secure election ever and that trump was trying to cheat and lying about a stolen election.

Now it's 2024 and they are saying they need to reform the same thing that was secure and great that got them elected in 2020?

Do they still teach American History in High School?

Federal legislation is superior to States rights.
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.”

Which, of course, says that you'd expect congress to stay in their lane.

It is assumed at the start that it is superior....until it is challenged and defeated.

I.E. Roe.

And supreme court decisions can't be defeated by new legislation or a rearranging of the court? :dunno:

When the last Dem F'ed around with the 60 filibuster rule it blew up in his face.

History tells us about those strong central governments that get out of control. The subterfuge of our security/central government law enforcement/spy agencies that has played a role in elections and agendas over the last several years that we know should tell you that.

I believe there are over 200 times when the court has gone back on itself.

The original intent (as I understand it) was that the court would rule and the legislature would remediate. But if the remediation doesn't follow the standards set in the first case, they'd just repeat the cycle.
