No it isn’t. The Democrats passed the original bill, then last year when they had control, they didn’t extend the plan pass 2025. It was simple majority back then now the Democrats are holding it up because they are inept and instead of a simple majority, it needs two thirds in the Senate and the republicans don’t have that much of a majority.

Democrats refused to do their job when they held the majorities and are making all of America pay for their ineptitude.

Nice try. But the founders introduced mechanisms in the governmental process to ensure the people in power didn't abuse their power. The rights of the minority are one of those mechanisms. The 60 vote minimum is one, the filibuster, another.

The Democrats know that they have the power to stop anything the majority wishes to pass. If they play their hand too far, the Republicans can use the nuclear option to force these things down your throat.

Everything now is going how it was feared in Federalist 10. The Democrats have become less of a participant in the process and more a faction seeking to impede progress. Acting as the very antithesis to their progressive claims.
