It would be great if Trump and Linda McMahon did away with the Department of Education.

I think the only reason we started it was to help black people in southern states or poor white goobers in southern states. But just like affirmative action, I think that experiment to educate goobers in red states has failed. Let Louisiana NOT educate it's students but put up the 10 Commandments in every classroom.
And teach those kids how to fight because if you're gonna be dumb you gotta be tough. Or pretty.

It reminds me of how immigration is treated in the country. Obama sued Arizona for trying to implement federal laws on immigration because Obama refused to do so, and he won in court because states can't implement federal law. But when Trump took power and wanted to implement immigration laws, all of a sudden blue states declared they were sanctuary cities, so Trump could not deport them.

Funny how that works, democrats seem to always get their way.

I say end public schools. Make them all private.

Remember when our parents were growing up they had public pools where you could take your kids to swim. Today you have to have a $125 Lifetime Fitness membership. There no public pool.

And a lot of people who can't afford a gym that includes a pool, a lot of poor people go to those cheap places that are only $20 a month. What are they called Planet Fitness?

Well let's get rid of public schools too. If you are poor, you send your kid to a Planet Fitness type school. It's all you can afford. If you have money you send your kid to a better school. But bottom line is this. If you want to send your kid to a $20 a month school or $125 a month school. That's your decision. And if you can't afford $20 a month, don't send them to school. You no longer have to send your kids to school.

That alone will fix the Detroit Public Schools. Now kids who don't want to be there don't have to go.

Uh, excuse me, but I think immigration has and always will change based on the circumstances. We used to want all we could get. Then the economy took a dump in the 2000's and suddenly THEY'RE TAKIN OUR JOBS"

For decades or centuries they came across the border, picked crops and then went home at the end of the season. But on Reagan's watch, he signaled to employers they could start hiring undocumented workers to do jobs Americans used to do. And they stopped going home. Clinton raided 400 illegal employers every year Bush raided 4.

There's a reason we came up with the Department of Education. Perhaps it's time to do away with it. I'd be okay with that.

There would be no reason to bring back the Department of Education. Let the states decide how to educate or not educate their citizens. Teach evolution, or don't. And if we did bring it back for a reason, maybe we would only need 1000 employees the next time to run that department. Not sure that all 4400 of those jobs are necessary.
