Some blacks find it offensive 😄

She claimed, "Some suggest that the use of collars on slaves with bells to send an alert that they were running away is connected to the origin of the song Jingle Bells. While we are not taking a stance to whether that is true or not, we do feel strongly that this line of thinking is not in agreement with our district beliefs to value all cultures and experiences of our students."

It really has to be completely crazy to try and make it about slavery. This was about the bells placed on horses and sleighs during the winter months. It is even in the song.
But here again the left looks for any piece of minutia to make something out of to tear down society

Maybe the school could have used this as a learning experience? Taught the students what sleigh bells were and the history of them and then educated them on what slave bells were and the difference in sound between the two. The schools cannot seem to use events Like these to promote unity and understanding, all they seem to do is divide.

That slave thing was one person's THEORY, which nobody agrees with except those looking to be offended. Just like the ignorant complaining about "black Friday."

Of course, they are there for indoctrination, more than for learning, with some exceptions.

An example of a song I will teach even if it appeared in Minstrel Shows: Jingle Bells. Because many, many songs from that era appeared in minstrel shows and we can't just cut entire eras out of school.

Example of a song I won't teach anymore: "Jimmy crack corn and I don't care, the master's gone away". I really don't need to teach this song. There are other songs from the era better than this one.

"Over the river and through the woods, to grandmothers house we go,"

It was written as a Thanksgiving song.

Slaves did not wear collars with bells. This is the most ridiculous piece of liberal trash that liberal trash has come up with since they declared the word picnic to be racist.

Bells were attached to sleighs when it snowed. Otherwise the movement of the sleigh was completely silent. There was no sound of wheels on the ground. There was no sound of horse footfalls. The bells were to let people know that a conveyance was coming, get out of the way.

Actually there were collars made that had bells. Just so you know.
But you are correct that the song is about the bells on horses and sleighs.

Lib educators are too stupid to benefit from learning experiences

and that means the students are doomed to grow up clueless also

If a song from white America is so offensive how about one from darkest Africa instead?
