I remember living in Germany years ago. AFN didn't show commercials, but they had a bunch of public service ads. One was a reminder to say hello to Boris whenever we used the phone. A voiceover stated, "Don't forget to say hello to Boris. Boris is always listening." Such was life then. It was commonplace for an oppressive government to spy on everybody they could. It took some getting used to. Now, here we are in America and the same exact thing is happening, all in the name of fighting terrorism. Yea, right. While our own government spies on our emails and phone conversations, they send billions in aid, tanks, planes and weapons to terrorists, like the Muslim Brotherhood. Thanks to Obama, al Qaeda is gaining ground. Meanwhile, back in the states, citizens are being forced to participate in commerce, being spied on by NSA and constantly having to fight to keep what rights we have left.
How long will the left pretend that Obama cares about our constitution, or our country for that matter?
Now the NSA will pretend to reform their practices. Yes, some people just need to hear that they will change and then we can move on.
The excuse that they are spying on all of us to look for potential terrorists is just asinine. They know where many terrorists are, just like they know where all the illegals are. It begs the question of why they are spying on us. I think they want to know what people are saying about Obama and what they really think of his policies. NSA will know everyone's secrets, even though 99.9% won't have a damn thing to do with terrorism. How will they use the info they learn by spying on us? Does anyone here trust that they won't misuse their power for political or personal gain?
