the Ex-Im banks will still be funded, as will Planned Parenthood. the cozy deals between the lobbyists and the corrupt congress critters will still be made.
he is going to run on a platform that most in congress will laugh at
here is Cruz calling Mcconnell a liar. McConnell just yawned
Cruz has 0 chance of being president.
The political prediction markets put him at 11%. Which is the same as Trump. The conventional wisdom is they will lose to Hillary. Both are at 46% to win the nomination.
Here is the difference between Trump and Cruz, and the reality of the Presidential race.
1. Most dislike Hillary.
2. Most dislike Trump.
3. Most know the least about Cruz, but they dislike him too.
4. If Hillary runs against Trump, they are both disliked, neither is trustworthy, but Trump is perceived to know little about anything but his wall. Hillary screwed up everything, but at least she has a clue.
5. Hillary against Cruz means he can at least talk policy, can put out how they will help the middle class, and debate from strength and knowledge, not platitudes and buzzwords.
6. Cruz knows convention politics, Trump doesn't know anything about it. He did finally hire an expert last week I think, to little, to late.
7. Trump can scream all he wants about the rules, but the same rules gave us Lincoln and Eisenhower, while stopping Reagan in 76. The rule he needs to change is not going to be changed. I can see the commercials now---------->if it was good enough for Lincoln, why isn't it good enough for Trump!
8. Cruz can win the general election, but the odds are not in his favor at this moment.
9. Trump is going to win a few more states, then either go home or run 3rd party. He won't win that either; in fact the only thing he is going to win after a couple more states, is a golf game in Florida, and only if his opponents are crappy golfers.
10. Trump has done very well, you have to hand it to him. I believe he surprised himself as much as anyone else. Problem is, just like all A-type personalities, he began to believe his own press after it was always suggested he would begin to fall, but never did. He decided that he couldn't be stopped and started getting goofy, kind of like Perot did. Donald Trump was NOT stopped by a bunch of insiders, outsiders, or media; Donald Trump was stopped by one person, and one person only, and that persons name is the over confidant, Donald Trump!
