But they are willing to work with Israel behind the scenes, probably on an anti Iranian basis. And yet they wont let a few chess nerds in.

Saudi ban on Israeli chess players underscores limits of Gulf relations

The event, called the King Salman World Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships, runs until Saturday. It includes around 240 players — both men and women — from 70 countries. There are 16 players from Saudi Arabia.

In a letter to FIDE, the Israeli federation demanded financial compensation for its players for “professional and financial damages,” called for events planned in Saudi Arabia over the next two years to be canceled and asked that future host countries be required to admit players from all countries.

Its outrageous that these bastards can exclude competitors for political reasons. I am guessing that they pay the federation enough money for them to look the other way.

World events should not be held in countries that discriminate against minorities.

Read about Islam, it is more so. Negotiations are never in good faith because if it is not an advantage to Islam it is void.(Muhammad said so) Meaning, any opportunity to gain that advantage will be taken, including breaking treaties.
