The only people who think he's very intelligent are people who've never lived under him in Arkansas.

I've never lived under him, merely listened to him on television.

Which potential presidential candidate would be better for the GOP if nominated in 2016 for president? Former Pennsylvania Sen. and 2012 presidential candidate Rick Santorum or Former Arkansas Gov. and 2008 presidential candidate Mike Huckabee?

I'd have to say Santorum would perform better as a GOP candidate. Even after just 4 years of Obama, people were clamoring for someone perceived as manly, rather than limp-wristed and ineffective, to sit as president. After 8 years, his chances will have improved.

In my opinion, only three of the Republican candidates in 2012 stood a chance at beating Obama, and Santorum was one of them. I don't agree with all of his policies, or even most of them, and he certainly wasn't my pick in the presidential primary, but he ran an excellent campaign that left him plenty to build on for 2016. I'd be surprised if he didn't run again. Huckabee, on the other hand, seems to have taken a spin through the revolving door and settled in nicely at Fox. I doubt he'll return to politics as a candidate.

The moves President Obama's made over these six years include his removal of the top Military and second level staff. I never thought he would do the Military. I expected him to give Congress a going over and they've returned the favor. Truly he is in control of the military and likely followed Truman from behind in order to get ahead. He's not quick but he sure does write well and even if he is bright he couches it in old school talk that sounds nothing like his interviews or his impromptu talks.

Still, neither is President Obama as good at presentation when taken off his teleprompter.

“I want you to understand clearly, I am not a fan of Mike Huckabee,” Beck said. “I’m not here to sweep up after him. But the truth has no agenda. So while I don’t want Mike Huckabee to be president, and I would think that would be a very bad thing … let’s at least deal with the facts as they are.”

And as Beck sees it, Huckabee said the exact opposite of what much of the media are implying he said.
