I went to get home insurance today. I asked for a standard policy and then asked if I could get protection from flood waters. I was told that for a few dollars more they could add a flood clause. I asked if I could also get protection in the event of an earthquake, and was told that for a minimal amount they could add an earthquake clause. Then I asked if a could get protection against damages from a sandstorm, and was told no. When I asked why, I was told, "Because there is no such thing as a sandy clause".
