Sandwich thrower gets fired

But I bet you don't throw anything at them even if they are disrespectful.

I've run across some incompetent, uncaring LEOs but I can't remember any who I would say were blatantly disrespectful. But then I've never disrespected any either.
Nope, I never initiate violence.

That's just stupid.

But I have sued a corrupt cop into bankruptcy.

Wow, you can't make this stuff up.

A man accused of throwing a sandwich at a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent in Washington, D.C., was an employee of the DOJ.

The incident happened Sunday night, when Dunn began beefing with CBP officers who were patrolling near a Subway sandwich shop on U Street, prosecutors said in a court filing. The officers appear to have been in the area as part of President Donald Trump’s effort to ramp up law enforcement in the nation’s capital.

Dunn, who was brandishing what appeared to be a wrapped footlong sandwich from the fast food staple, "stood within inches" of one of the officers, and yelled “F--- you! You f-----g fascists! Why are you here? I don’t want you in my city,” the filing said.

Guessing that was a Cold Cut sandwich, or was it just a Cold Cut?

A not unreasonable response by his employer for the action he took.

I am ok with jail time for that. 👍
Not several years ago or more. I do not even begin to understand the patience of drivers on highways backed up many miles for that crap. They have the right to take the law into their own hands with common sense living.

The Grand Jury has refused to indict the guy who threw the sandwich. How much time and money were spent trying to prosecute a guy for throwing a sandwich at a cop??? What a ridiculous waste of resources.

"Federal prosecutors on Tuesday were unable to secure a felony assault indictment against a man who threw a sandwich at a federal agent on the streets of Washington this month, according to two people familiar with the matter.

The remarkable failure by the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington was the second time in recent days that it was unable to persuade grand jurors to bring an indictment in a felony assault case against a federal agent. And it amounted to a sharp rebuke by ordinary citizens against the team of prosecutors who are dealing with the fallout from President Trump’s move to send National Guard troops and federal agents into the city on patrol."

Trump's whole "mass deportation" drama is not winning him any support whatsoever, and it just points out how petty, vindictive and lawless this administration truly is.

What a stupid thing to do. Now he has no job and no sandwich.

Yes it was incredibly stupid of Trump to have the guy arrested and then waste tens of thousands of dollars in prosecuting him.

When the indictment failed, Trump had him prosecuted on municipal charges and the jury found him not guilty.

Wouldn’t the money have been better spent on prosecuting CRIMINALS, not protestors?

Leave it to a nosy canadian to see everything ass-backwards. No wonder your "country" is so irrelevant.

Huh? Do you think they call Trump on the cellphone and ask "what do you want us to do Mr. PRESIDENT?" ARE YOU ON crown Royal already? He doesn't micro-manage to that level you dumb OX.

And no extra time and money is spent, as DC is already on salary! Always on duty. The perp may have spent his own money on a lawyer? Probably has no money? "His city" my rear end.

Given that Trump fired the guy who refused to indict Comey on lack of evidence, and posted his demands that his replacement indict Comey, I would say that the orders for this ridiculous waste of taxpayers’ money came DIRECTLY from Trump.

In terms of waste, fraud and abuse, this case is a prime example as to why government spending under Trump is WAY UP over the Biden Administration.

At trial, the officer who was “assaulted” in the case claimed the sandwich “exploded all over his uniform” and made a mess of his uniform. Video taken at the scene showed the sandwich, laying on the ground, still in its wrapper.

As for the guy getting fired. He worked for the federal government. The First Amendment lawsuit writes itself. So does the case for malicious prosecution.

Taxpayers are still paying off Trump’s first Amendment lawsuits from his first Administration. Andrew McCabe, Peter Strocz, Lisa Page, and other who Trump attacked snd slandered, are still being paid by you, the taxpayers.

So I hope you’re getting your money’s worth “sticking it to the libs”.
