The owner of a historic San Francisco luxury department store called out city and state leadership for the area's "unlivable" conditions Sunday.

In a full-page ad published in the San Francisco Chronicle on Sunday, Gump’s CEO John Chachas penned an open letter calling for their "destructive" and "failed public policies" to be abandoned.

"An Open Letter to Governor Newsom, Mayor Breed and the San Francisco Board of Supervisors: Gump's has been a San Francisco icon for more than 165 years. Today, as we prepare for our 166th holiday season at 250 Post Street, we fear this may be our last because of the profound erosion of this city's current conditions," Chachas wrote.

He continued, "San Francisco now suffers from a ‘tyranny of the minority’ —behavior and actions of the few that jeopardize the livelihood of the many. The ramifications of COVID policies advising people to abandon their offices are only beginning to be understood. Equally devastating have been a litany of destructive San Francisco strategies, including allowing the homeless to occupy our sidewalks, to openly distribute and use illegal drugs, to harass the public and to defile the city's streets.

Progressive Culture is a huge failure and a threat to civilized society.
Left Wing economics policies spread poverty, it doesn't cure it.
The crazy Left Wingers are in deep denial about themselves.
Their incapability for introspection is what makes the Democrat Party a dangerous political cult that causes everyone to suffer.

The plan is to run off current businesses, pick up the abandoned properties dirt cheap, then use California's huge Congressional delegation to get a shit load of Federal subsidies and tax exemptions to 'renew' the city at the public's expense, then sell or lease the upgrades for big sums. If it doesn't work, so what, it's not like they used their own money. Frankly, SF has too many filthy proles infesting the place, which is offensive to the Pelosi's and Newsoms' social sets, and they want to make the traffic more bearable and spread their properties out more, like a new Beverly Hills gated community on the Bay.

Someone gets it. ;)

The commies will ignore this letter just like they've ignored other businesses closing. The destruction of the country is their goal, this shit will be coming to a city near you.

.

The 'environmental activists' in Austin, Tx. ran a similar scam there back in the 1970's-1980's, only with ranch land. They passed zoning laws against development of big chunks of privately ranch land at the county and local levels, then bought up huge swathes of it dirt cheap, then removed the zoning restrictions. lol

I bet it all was bank-rolled by a GOPer. ;)

Maybe some voters will get a clue.

I should probably review all the prescription medications you cult fucks are taking and make sure you are using them “off label”.

It is my business, apparently.

Frankly, I think it's time to take up arms against them.
This country is on a path of complete failure if policies and laws are not changed quickly. Our border is being overran by the third-world, and this along with the lawlessness of cities all around this country, where criminals are allowed to run, and "homeless" are allowed to shit in the streets and destroy entire areas of many cities, will soon bring this country to it's knees.

I like this, and agree 100%.

"San Francisco now suffers from a ‘tyranny of the minority’ —behavior and actions of the few that jeopardize the livelihood of the many.

We have sat back and allowed these people to dictate how policing and prosecution should work. These people want NO consequences for criminal activity, and it's time to take back these places by demanding policing and prosecution be returned to the pre-BLM era.
