Given the lack of cooperation in Congress today, you have to rush through as much as you can while you have the votes.

Something like funding for infrastructure used to be a simple bipartisan expenditure. Both sides get a little and give a little.

Doesnt work that way any more

Just do infrastructure. Do not add anything that puts the taxpayers on the hook for perpetuity with the expansion of new programs.
